Please support the return of the Parthenon Marbles

Because you are a friend of Greece, please support the Greek campaign for the RETURN OF THE PARTHENON MARBLES TO GREECE. The Parthenon marbles were stolen by the British Lord Elgin and they are now in the British Museum illegally.We, the Greek people, and 14 civilized countries demand the return of the Marbles to their birthplace. The British Government doesn't want to give the marbles back. But we (believers in the Greek cultural heritage and the preservation of unique cultural monuments) must not stop talking about and asking for the marbles to come home.It is important that our fight is known everywhere all over the world, because the voice of the people has power, and the VOICE of the people can bring BACK the Parthenon Marbles to their rightful place where they belong: Acropolis, Athens, Greece.Please speak to your people about the importance of the Parthenon Marbles and the importance of cultural heritage and support us in our fight for the return of the Parthenon Marbles to the beautiful unique holy rock of Acropolis, in Athens.Melina Mercouri, the spirit and soul of Greece, started the official campaign for the Return of the Marbles in 1982-1983
